The Tilicho Lake Trek is an 11-day hard-grade trek to Tilicho Lake (4,919m), one of the highest lakes in the world and a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. The trek follows the classic Annapurna Circuit route to Manang, then branches off to the Tilicho Base Camp, and on day 7 climbs to the lake itself at 4,919m. The lake is surrounded by the dramatic Tilicho Peak (7,134m), Grand Barrier, and Nilgiri peaks, creating one of the most spectacular high-altitude settings in Nepal. According to Hindu mythology, Tilicho Lake is the Kaksar Lake mentioned in the Ramayana, where the god Rama is said to have bathed. The trek requires good acclimatization due to the high altitude reached.
