Api Nampa Conservation Area Entry Permit (included). We arrange all permits on your behalf once we receive your passport copy and 4 passport-size photos after booking. Permit fees are included in your trip cost.

Insurance Requirement

Travel insurance is mandatory for all our treks and tours. Your insurance must cover trekking to 4500m altitude (for treks), emergency helicopter evacuation up to USD 10,000, emergency medical treatment, and trip cancellation. We recommend World Nomads, IMG Global, or Allianz Adventure plans. Bring a printed copy of your insurance certificate.

Booking & Payment

To confirm your booking, a deposit is required (50% for helicopter tours). The balance is due 30 days before departure (7 days for helicopter tours). We accept bank transfer, credit card (4% surcharge), PayPal. Free cancellation up to 60 days before departure. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation. What is Not Included

International airfare to/from Kathmandu, Nepal visa fee (USD 30 for 15 days), travel and rescue insurance (mandatory), personal trekking gear and clothing, hot showers and device charging on trek, alcoholic beverages, lunch and dinner in Kathmandu, tips for guide/porter/driver (recommended 10-15% of trip cost), and any costs from unforeseen events like weather delays.

How do I book the Api Saipal Helicopter Charter and what happens if weather cancels?

Contact us with your preferred flight date. We require a 50% deposit to confirm (helicopter operators require advance commitment), balance due 7 days before flight. Helicopter flights are strictly weather-dependent – if cancelled due to weather, we offer free rescheduling or full refund. Book morning flights (6-9am) for the best weather. Build 1-2 buffer days into your itinerary.

What is the weight limit and group size?

Standard helicopters (AS350 B3) seat 5 passengers plus pilot. Weight limit is 100kg (220 lbs) per person with total payload 500kg. For groups of 6+, we use multiple helicopters or a larger MI-17 (18-22 seats). Soft duffel bags preferred over hard suitcases. Maximum 15kg luggage per person including camera gear.

Maximum altitude is 4500m with exposure of 5-30 minutes depending on the tour. Brief exposure is generally safe for healthy adults but can cause mild altitude symptoms. Are the helicopters safe and do I need insurance?

We use only CAAN-licensed operators (Simrik Air, Heli Everest, Air Dynasty) with impeccable safety records. Helicopters are maintained to international standards. Pilots have 5,000+ hours of mountain flying experience. Travel insurance covering helicopter evacuation is mandatory. Private charters available for USD 3,500-9,500 depending on route and duration.

What should I wear and bring?

Dress warmly – temperatures at altitude can be -10 to -20C. Essential: down jacket or insulated jacket, warm hat and gloves, sunglasses with strong UV protection, sunscreen SPF 50+, lip balm with SPF, closed-toe shoes, camera with charged batteries (cold drains them fast).
