The Tamur River Rafting Expedition is an 11-day wilderness adventure combining a 3-day trek with 8 days of white water rafting on Nepal’s most exciting river. Voted the ‘best river trip in Nepal’ by Outside Magazine, the Tamur offers 120km of continuous Class IV-V rapids, dramatic mountain scenery, and remote wilderness camping. The expedition begins with a flight to Biratnagar and a drive to Basantapur, followed by a 3-day trek through rhododendron forest with views of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Everest. The rafting begins at Dobhan where the Tamur meets the Sankhuwasabha river, and continues with over 100 rapids in 120km. Full-service beach camping throughout. The expedition begins with a flight to タンリングター and a 3-day trek through rhododendron forest with views of Kanchenjunga, passing through traditional villages like タプルジョン. The rafting starts where the Tamur river meets tributaries from the Makalu region.
