The Karnali River Rafting Expedition is a 10-day wilderness white water rafting journey on Nepal’s longest and most remote river. Originating from the glaciers of Mount Kailash in Tibet, the Karnali flows through remote western Nepal with dramatic gorges, big volume rapids, and pristine beaches. The expedition covers 180km from Surkhet to チサパニ, with rapids rated Class IV-V including ‘Sweetness and Light,’ ‘Shake and Bake,’ and ‘God’s House.’ The river is for experienced rafters only – the volume is significant, the rapids are committing, and the region is remote with limited evacuation options. The expedition includes full-service beach camping, wildlife spotting (including the rare Gangetic dolphin), and cultural visits to remote Tharu villages.
