The Nepal Photography Tour is a 10-day specialist cultural photography tour led by a professional photographer, designed for serious amateur and professional photographers wanting to capture the people, culture, and landscapes of Nepal. The tour covers Kathmandu Valley UNESCO sites, the medieval village of Bandipur, sunrise at Sarangkot with Annapurna views, lakeside Pokhara, and a Chitwan jungle safari. Our photography guide is a published photographer with credits in Outside Magazine and Sidetracked. We carry tripods for client use, provide a pre-trip portfolio review, and offer a post-trip image editing workshop.

Arrival in Kathmandu & Portfolio Review

Arrival and transfer to hotel. Evening welcome dinner and portfolio review with photography guide.

Day 02 :

Kathmandu Sightseeing

Photography at Swayambhunath (golden hour), Pashupatinath (cremation ghats), Boudhanath (stupa with eyes), and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03 :

Patan & Bhaktapur

Photography at Patan Durbar Square (Newar architecture) and Bhaktapur Durbar Square (55-Window Palace, Nyatapola Temple).

Day 04 :

Drive to Bandipur

Drive to the medieval Newar trading village of Bandipur. Afternoon village photography.

Day 05 :

Drive to Pokhara & Lakeside

Drive to Pokhara. Afternoon lakeside photography with Phewa Lake and Machhapuchhre reflections.

Day 06 :

Sarangkot Sunrise & World Peace Pagoda

Pre-dawn drive to Sarangkot for sunrise on Annapurna. Afternoon hike to World Peace Pagoda for sunset.

Day 07 :

Drive to Chitwan & Tharu Village

Drive to Chitwan. Afternoon Tharu village photography with traditional cultural portraits.

Day 08 :

Chitwan Jungle Safari

Full-day jungle photography: jeep safari, canoe ride, wildlife and bird photography.

Day 09 :

Fly to Kathmandu & Image Editing Workshop

Drive to Bharatpur and fly to Kathmandu. Afternoon post-trip image editing workshop. Farewell dinner.

Day 10 :

Final Departure

Transfer to international airport.

Altitude Safety

Maximum altitude is 1600m. Above 3,500m, altitude sickness is a real risk. Our itinerary includes acclimatization days, guides carry pulse oximeters and emergency oxygen. Walk slowly, stay hydrated (3-4 liters daily), avoid alcohol above 3,500m, report symptoms immediately. Travel insurance covering helicopter evacuation is mandatory.

Insurance Requirement

Travel insurance is mandatory for all our treks and tours. Your insurance must cover trekking to 1600m altitude (for treks), emergency helicopter evacuation up to USD 10,000, emergency medical treatment, and trip cancellation. Cultural Etiquette

Dress modestly at religious sites (cover shoulders and knees). Remove shoes before entering temple sanctums. Walk clockwise around stupas and chortens. Ask permission before photographing people. Use your right hand for eating and passing items. Say namaste (palms together) as a greeting.

To confirm your booking, a deposit is required (50% for helicopter tours). The balance is due 30 days before departure (7 days for helicopter tours). We accept bank transfer, credit card (4% surcharge), PayPal. Free cancellation up to 60 days before departure. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation.
