The Bardia Jungle Safari is a 4-day wildlife adventure in Bardia National Park, Nepal’s largest and most pristine national park in the far west. Bardia protects 968 sq km of subtropical forest and grassland, and is renowned as Nepal’s best tiger habitat – with an estimated 87 Bengal tigers, sightings are significantly more likely than in Chitwan. The park is also home to wild elephant, swamp deer, Gangetic dolphin, gharial crocodile, and over 400 bird species. Unlike Chitwan, Bardia sees few tourists, offering a genuine wilderness experience. The 4-day package includes jeep safari, jungle walk with expert naturalist, canoe ride on the Karnali river, visit to a Tharu village, and cultural performances. Accommodation is at a comfortable jungle lodge.

Altitude Safety

Maximum altitude is 385m. Above 3,500m, altitude sickness is a real risk. Our itinerary includes acclimatization days, guides carry pulse oximeters and emergency oxygen. Walk slowly, stay hydrated (3-4 liters daily), avoid alcohol above 3,500m, report symptoms immediately. Travel insurance covering helicopter evacuation is mandatory.
